About elcalafatedaytours.com
elcalafatedaytours.com is an independent guide to the land-based day tours that leave from El Calafate in Argentine Patagonia. This page explains who runs it, how it is financed and where the data comes from.
Who is behind this site
elcalafatedaytours.com is run by Patrick Kühne, an independent travel publisher based in Markkleeberg near Leipzig, Germany. He builds and maintains a small portfolio of guides to attraction tickets and day tours. The pages are researched, written and kept up to date by one person, the same one who answers the e-mails.
What this site does
From El Calafate you can spend a day on the walkways in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier, drive 220 km north to El Chaltén, cross into Chile for Torres del Paine or spend an evening at an estancia. Tour listings often disagree with themselves on one point that matters for your budget: whether the national park entrance is included. We read every listing for that, note how long you actually get at the glacier, and say plainly which hikes fit into a day trip. Boat trips on Lago Argentino are covered on our sister site. We are not a booking agent; every reservation happens on the booking platform.
How we earn money
When you book through one of our links, the platform pays us a commission. Your price stays the same: the commission comes out of the platform’s margin, not your pocket. No contract obliges us to favour a particular operator, and our tables are ordered by number of reviews, not by what pays us best.
Where our data comes from
Prices, ratings and review counts are pulled from our booking partners’ APIs and refreshed automatically several times a day. Durations, transfers, park entrance rules and time on site come from the operators’ listings and were checked in October 2026. The park fee comes from the official rate table of Argentina’s national parks. Found something out of date? Write to us and we will correct it.
What we are not
We do not run any tours and we are not affiliated with any operator mentioned on this site. For binding information on pickup times, park fees and weather changes, the operator’s own channels and the national park authority always take precedence.
